Mexican Textiles

I have only been to Mexico for two layover visits to the capital en route to warmer climes. Both times a point was made to spend at least a day or two exploring the mega city that is Mexico City with all its color. Street textiles, from the blankets laid down as a base in the maze of open air markets, to the uniform aprons worn by nearly every female worker all embroidered to high-heaven. This week we will delve in a little deeper to celebrate our neighbors to the south and all that is their textile aesthetic.

Each week we have a theme to help us stay focused and have fun!  I use these themes to spark our Rag posts, our social media imagery and our work around the studio.  Weekly themes are posted here to inspire you too!  Do you know of something or someone that pertains to an upcoming theme that we should feature or just know about?  Email your ideas to hello@crispina.com with Theme in the subject line.
