Crispina, I just found this news via a link to my blog.
Your family calendars have been treasures to me for many years.
I save them every year. I give certain months to friends who admire them.
I did a blog post awhile back about them.
This year, as we were opening Christmas gifts, my doorbell rang, and it was my calendar.
It was perfect timing for the best present of all.

I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. I’ve lost both of my parents, my dad was an Irishman the same age as your dad when he passed away. I miss him every day.

Your post is beautiful. I hope your memories and all the beautiful work your father did are a comfort to you. He touched so many. And many he didn’t even know, like me.

Crispina–I just found out about your father. You know we worked together at Riggs back in the 70’s and he taught Josh, Dan and Tony, all of whom loved him dearly. And I felt the same. He will be missed here and undoubtedly welcomed back wherever we all go. He was a lovely man and I’m sure it leaves a big hole in your life, as it does in the community fabric. Hi Lauren, I stopped wholesaling and now really enjoy the actual making process of all the items I sell. If you visit the shop on my site you will see that I do still make sweaters but have not made mittens in a while. Thanks for your interest!

Blessings and peace to you and your family. I once spoke to your father on the phone after an article appeared in a magazine about the calendars. It was a brief conversation with lasting memories.
I was given the gift of ushering both of my parents to the next realm. I never thought I would be able to do it, but as you said, I wouldn’t have it any other way. Wishing you a happy re-entry to life as you know it in Pittsfield.
