From a pile of what appears to be scraps of t-shirts, sweaters, sweatshirts and the like, pull, stretch, knot, and weave a 2.5×3.5ft rug to take home.
Learn the ins and outs of Potholder Rug Weaving. It is a simple and creative use of completely recycled materials. Students will finish a rug to take home and be shown how to weave sections together to create larger sizes. No experience is necessary.
Students should come with an open mind and a yummy bag lunch. We supply the use of a simple frame loom, and a nice big pile of used clothing to ‘Rumplestilskin’ into a beautiful lusciously thick Potholder Rug. If you have a specific color palette in mind please compile suitable clothing to bring along with you. Email me for further details of what to bring.
