THE PEOPLE: There are between 17 and 22 people who work in our Housatonic riverbank studio depending on the time of year. Our store workforce also fluctuates due to the seasonality of the Berkshires. Our employees are proud to come from all walks of life. Diversity of demographic includes people of varying ages, of 6 nationalities. We often share meals at lunch-time giving us all a chance to learn of, and celebrate each other’s culture. 2005 was a year of babies with three of them born to Crispina staff moms. We welcomed Skylar Raine in July to Billie-Jo – one of our topnotch sewing machine operators – now working from home. Then along came Aiden Quinn, son of Jenn Troy our finished goods organizer, quality control extrordinaire. Lucy ffrench Swindlehurst joined the team in December. She is the little sister of Ben and daughter of Crispina and her husband Chris. It was an eventful year!
